Introduction
The Learning Event Generator is a tool that generates learning challenges where you have to represent your knowledge in many different styles through a range of activities
-
-
Start by thinking about getting together in a group with some others and preparing to leave your chair.
-
Think about working with a small group - with friends, relatives or maybe even some people you don't usually work with
-
The picture shows a group competing in the Explainer Olympics 2011 Learning on the Beach Conference in Ireland
-
-
-
find a comfortable place to gather as a group (this doesn't have to involve sitting down :)
-
decide on what subject area it is that you want to work on - it could be anything )if you are stuck there is a list of ideas here http://legwork.pbworks.com/w/page/161853...!
-
now use a computer or connected device to go the website at http://www.bitly.com/200wayLEG (as shown in the picture)
-
-
-
Now you can generate your own challenge by clicking and dragging the mouse over peristalsis
-
Now type in your own challenge and click on the generate button - the challenge (in the second picture) is to "do planets on the way to the sun as a tiny opera" :)
-
Finally get down to completing the challenge that you are given. The time limit is 20 minutes unless you are told otherwise.
-
Have fun & when you are finished think about sending a video or a picture or soundfile of your completed challenge so that we can build the backchannel http://www.davittlearning.net
